The Frog Hollow Core Class is for children ages eight through twelve. However, children mature academically at their own pace, and not every eight-year-old is ready. To be ready for Frog Hollow, students should be expressing their own thoughts in written sentences. Inventive spelling is fine, but they should be comfortable writing at least simple sentences. They should also be ready to participate in a group setting, and be able to take turns listening and focusing in class circle. Frog Hollow curriculum is not reading based, so reading ability is optional.
